Living in Linux

Moving computer is like moving house, scary, uncertain, and jarring at times.

All your files need to be neatly packed and secured. You must brace yourself for the change knowing that the new place will feel unfamiliar and strange, that you will be annoyed when things are strange and different.

Still, we sail on boldly knowing and trusting ourselves enough to try out new horizons like they were always meant to be ours.

A friend applies to a graveyard as a landscaper and I click a button to install a new distribution to my computer that was stuck at the same position for a bit over a decade.

Some changes are hard because the comfort is easy but when you jump over the fence whatever greets you there, you can manage.

If not, you can always quit.
